The Prince Edward Island Potato Board is dedicated to supporting the highest performance of the potato industry in Prince Edward Island by:

• Developing and expanding domestic and international markets through the promotion of seed and tablestock potatoes;
• Promoting/providing high quality seed for the industry;
• Promoting/providing timely, cost-effective laboratory testing services for growers;
• Supplying potato producers, dealers and exporters with strategic production and marketing information in order to promote market-directed production; 
• Assisting with the negotiation of processing contracts on behalf of growers; 
• Lobbying federal and provincial governments to ensure that adequate programs and policies (research, disease control, inspection services, market access, extension programs, farm financing, safety nets, advance payments programs and statistics) are in place to assist in the development of the industry; 
• Promoting environmentally sustainable potato production practices; 
• Licensing dealers and exporters to market PEI potatoes; and
• Providing leadership and working effectively in order to enhance the viability and competitiveness of the Prince Edward Island potato industry.
